Condolences
Pakistan earthquake in 2005
October 11, 2005
His Excellency the High Commissioner of Pakistan.
High Commission of Pakistan,
Colombo.
Your Excellency,
Assalaamu alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakaatuh.
I am writing this to express the heartfelt grief of All Ceylon Jamiyyathul
Ulama when Your Excellency’s motherland experiences the unbearable impact
of the calamity that took place when the whole Muslim Ummah observes the
Ramadhan fasting.
Let me remind Your Excellency of the words of Allah Subhaanahu Wata’ala
that could console the wounded hearts of the brethren of Pakistan - “And
we shall surely test you with aught of fear and hunger and loss in riches
and lives and fruits; and bear thou glad tidings to the patient”. (2:155).
The All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama holds its hands together with the entire
Muslim Ummah to pray for Pakistan and requests Your Excellency to seek refuge
and help in patience and prayer. Surely Allah is with the patient.
May Almighty Allah bestow his limitless bounties on Pakistan.
Wassalaamu alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakaatuh.
Yours faithfully,
Ash-Shaikh H.Abdul Nazar
