This website is dedicated to Ash-Shaikh H. Abdul Nazar
who is an Islamic Shari'ah scholar from Sri Lanka.
Shaikh Abdul Nazar is well known for his versatility,
advanced thinking, novel ideas, moderate views, farsightedness, honesty, sincerity and straightforwardness and
has, through his writing, oration, lecture and presentation, contributed enormously to mankind in general and
to Islam and Muslims in particular.
Having founded himself both on religious education and secular education,
Shaikh Abdul Nazar possesses an excellent command of Arabic, English and Tamil.
We find him a man of deep, solid and vast experience
as an instructor, lecturer, orator, departmental head, secretary, general secretary,
librarian, administrator, manager, researcher, author, poet, documnetalist, reviewer, consultant and so on.
Shaikh Abdul Nazar is a prominent scholar and consultant in Islamic Jurisprudence (Fiqh),
Islamic Economics, Banking and Insurance, education, teaching methodology and Arabic Language.
Having drawn up his own modus operandi to do and deal with things,
he, with the grace of Almighty Allah, excels in whatever he performs.
He believes in accuracy and perfection.
Shaikh Abdul Nazar was the first to have boldly come forward and revolutionized the Madrasah education and
its management system completely and successfully in a manner
that positively responds to the present needs of the society in terms of religious guidance and helps to produce quality Ulama.
He stroke a balance between the conventional system and the modern system on the basis of 'beneficial old and righteous new'.
The All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama, the religious guiding body in Sri Lanka,
was absolutely transformed only when Shaikh Abdul Nazar took over its destinies as General Secretary.
After that only, this religious institution saw tremendous progress,
spread its activities throughout the Island, gained popularity and became people-friendly.
In order to enable all across the globe to have access to and benefit from such a brilliant and modest scholar,
this site is developed and operated by a brother close to his heart.
