I am extremely delighted in wishing
all the Muslim brothers and sisters blissful Eid
when the Muslim community, after completing a month
long workshop of holy Ramadhan of Hijri 1425, is
celebrating the Eid Al-Fitr with joy and happiness.
In the course of Ramadhan, the
Muslims fortified their belief with all their good
deeds such as fasting, night prayers, I’tikaaf,
recital of Holy Qur-an, remembrance, supplication,
Zakaat and Sadqah and purified themselves by repentance,
thereby getting closer to Almighty Allah. Unless
we put into practice what we learned in the workshop
of Ramadhan, those virtues will end up in vain like
the rain that fell in the ocean when it is expected
to fall in the fields ashore.
Let us contemplate for a while our brethren who
are celebrating the Eidul Fitr with sorrow and grief
having encamped in their houses. Let us take care
and help those who are suffering from violence,
tyranny, forcible expulsion, ethnic cleansing, poverty,
etc. Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam)
proclaimed that “He who shows no interest
in the affair of Muslims is not from them (Muslims)”.
All the Muslims who look at the
blue sky with great effort, looking out for the
new moon in order to decided the festival, are longing
to see the crack of the ray of peace.
